I have not been taking a lot of photographs lately. This is mainly due to my activities in music. I've been very busy in that area, which I still consider to be my most important thing in life. Secondly, I also find that winter in The Netherlands is not the best time and place for daylight photography. It gets dark very early and when it's light, it's grey and dull most of the time. And thirdly, to be honest, I guess inspiration for photography has not been very high lately, which should probably be mentioned as the first reason, and not the third.
But today I decided to renew my subscription to dA. Photography doesn't stop fascinating me. I hope to find a lot of beautiful details to shoot this new year, and I hope to share them with you.

I'm glad you will be taking more photos. I really enjoy your work and it inspires me. Being involved in several different areas of art is challenging. I hope your musical interest are joyful!
We all have bigger lives Joost, happy new year by the way.
I hear you - I have not had time to shoot much myself - with three large shows booked already this year and the promise of more, I am spending more time printing and framing...
always wonderful to see your work... i imagine your music must be very special as well...
I'm glad you renewed your subscription! I'm still in doubt whether I'll renew mine, but I have a couple of months to go to decide.
I seem to have cycles of making photos and then times when there seems to be no inspiration of interest so hang in there and I'm sure that we will see some new exciting works from you.
