I have not been taking a lot of photographs lately. This is mainly due to my activities in music. I've been very busy in that area, which I still consider to be my most important thing in life. Secondly, I also find that winter in The Netherlands is not the best time and place for daylight photography. It gets dark very early and when it's light, it's grey and dull most of the time. And thirdly, to be honest, I guess inspiration for photography has not been very high lately, which should probably be mentioned as the first reason, and not the third.
But today I decided to renew my subscription to dA. Photography doesn't stop fascinating me. I hope to find a lot of beautiful details to shoot this new year, and I hope to share them with you.

Photo Blog
For all of you who want to build a personal photo blog: I am using WordPress at the moment, in combination with the plugin YAPB (Yet Another Photo Blog). I find it very useful, and easy to work with.

Stuff as dreams are made on
We are such stuff
As dreams are made on; and our little life
Is rounded with a sleep.
William Shakespeare
For several years now, I am thinking about a website about music and art that has some kind of religious meaning. Not a specific religion, but a religious way of looking at reality. Every time I think about it I stumble at the first hurdle: describing the website to myself, finding words to express what the website is about, finding a name or title for the website. I alway end up with these words by Shakespeare, from The Tempest.

Folders
Maybe it has been there for a long time, but I recently discovered the dA feature of creating folders in my own gallery. I like it a lot....

New gallery
I am trying a new image gallery system for my website: Coppermine.
Anybody else out there who is using it?
Curious what you think.

I'm glad you will be taking more photos. I really enjoy your work and it inspires me. Being involved in several different areas of art is challenging. I hope your musical interest are joyful!
